Diageo’s Learning for Life initiative supports adult education in the fields of hospitality, bartending and management with the intention of providing a springboard into employment. Barnomadics are proud to have an ongoing relationship with this programme, supporting the Learning for Life course and graduates at some quite incredible events over the years. Barnomadics has operated bars in conjunction with the programme at events such as the networking drinks service at the Movement to Work conference hosted by David Beckham, and cocktail receptions for the 1200 guests of Hunter Foundation events hosted by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama in consecutive years.
In addition to delivering bars at these events, our team of professional bartenders work alongside and mentor bartenders-in-training. This is an excellent opportunity for us to impart some real-world work experience and professional insight within the setting of a high-volume drinks service. Working with Learning For Life at prestigious events such as these has inspired our drinks innovators to develop cocktails for events that positively promote the success of the Learning For Life program and showcase the new skills of its students.
